“I’m Michael, the saxophonist and band leader for Honeytones. Starting at the age of 10, there’s been nothing i’ve enjoyed more in my life than MAKING and listening to good music. Amazed by the talent of my peers at Grossmont College, I knew I couldn’t put it to waste. It wasn’t until high school that I got involved in music production, and have since produced hip hop instrumentals for artists such as Ahmad Anonimis and Quelle Chris. Having experience running sound with renowned band “Republic of Music” and working with the amazing musicians there made me want to combine what i’ve learned so far and create a jazz band with a bit of a funky twist, ultimately forming Honeytones!”
